This is my family's favourite butter chicken recipe - it came about after my youngest son stayed at a friends house and they bought Indian take-away. Youngest says this is just like the one he had at his friend's. This is one of favourite dishes. Although quite often thought to be an Indian dish this recipe was actually developed in the UK.(Recipes courtesy of Food.com - Chef Fairy Nuff)

Puttu a is traditional food from the state of Kerala in India. It is a breakfast variety made with whole wheat flour. Whole wheat flour is mixed with warm water with salt and is steamed to cook. Sugar/palm sugar, coconut are then added for the perfect taste. Sesame oil is a must since it is the one that gives a nice aroma to this recipe. (Recipes courtesy of Food.com - Chef CookingJingalala)

This is a quick and simple vegetarian curry with lots of flavor, tons of protein, and not alot of fat. I recommend using a real flavorful, mild curry powder, or one that you've mixed yourself. My "Simple, Sweet and Mild Curry Blend" works well with this dish. However,if you do like heat, feel free to add some cayenne or crushed red pepper to suit your taste.
