Chana Chaat

Ingredients
Ingredients for yogurt mixture:
2 cups yogurt
½ tsbp Chaat Masala
Boondi
3 tsbp Sugar
Salt as needed
Ingredients for chana chaat:
1 & ½ cups Water
2 tbsp Besan (Gram Flour)
Pinch of Food Color (Optional)
1 tbsp Chaat Masala
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Red Chili Pepper Crushed
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
½ tbsp Coriander Seeds
4 tbsp Tamarind Chutney
3 cups chickpeas (pre-soaked and boiled)
½ red onion (chopped)
½ tomato (deseeded & cubed)
½ potatoes (boiled and cubed)
2 Green Chilies (chopped)
2 pinches Coriander (chopped)
2 tbsp Swad Mint Chutney
½ cup papri
½ cup sev
Chopped coriander for garnishing
Chopped green peppers for garnishing

Instructions
1) In a bowl, add yogurt, salt, chaat masala, boondi, sugar and whisk well. Set aside
2) In a pan, add water and besan and whisk well.
3) Add food coloring (optional) and whisk well
4) Add chaat masala, red chili powder, salt, crushed red pepper, cumin seeds, coriander seeds and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
5) Add Swad tamarind chutney and whisk well.
6) Add boiled chickpeas and mix well.
7) Add onion, tomato, green chilies, coriander and mix well.
8) Place chickpea mixture in a bowl and add boiled potatoes.
9) Pour yogurt mixture on top
10) Add Swad Tamarind Chutney, Swad Mint Chutney
11) Add papri and sev
12) Garnish with coriander and green peppers
13) Ready to serve
Note: We used canned chickpeas for this recipe. You can also use regular chickpeas but they should be pre-soaked and boiled.
