Chana Dal Halwa

Ingredients
4 cups milk
2 cups chana dal (soaked overnight)
2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
1 tsp cardamom powder
3 tbsp mixed Nuts (chopped: 2 tsp raisins, 10 almonds, 10 cashews, 10 pistachios)
Chana Dal Halwa is a popular Indian dessert made especially for celebrations or get-togethers. The rich flavor of the Chana dal lends itself to preparing an amazing dessert that is an all-time favorite of the young and old!
Instructions
1) Boil chana dal with milk in a pot and let it cook for 30-40 mins or until the milk dries.
2) Once done, let it cool down and put in a blender to make a thick paste.
3) In a pan, add ghee, cardamom powder and chana dal mixture.
4) Mix well.
5) Add the sugar.
6) Cook and stir until the oil separates.
7) Once the oil has separated, add half the mixed nuts and mix well.
8) Garnish with remaining mixed nuts.
9) Ready to Serve.
