Ingredients

¾ lb Poha Thick

3 tbsp canola oil

1 tsp cumin seeds

3 serrano peppers

1 ½ medium potato peeled and chopped

2-3 tsp salt

1 tsp turmeric

1/2 lemon (squeezed)

1/4 bunch chopped cilantro

The popular flavored dish is one of the most loved meals in an Indian household. Prepared with serrano peppers, parched rice, lemon, and cilantro garnish, its best for a light breakfast or a tasty evening snack.

Instructions

1) In a heated oil pan, add cumin seeds, serrano peppers, and potato and stir well.

2) Add salt and turmeric and stir and close the lid.

3) Cook on low heat until potatoes are tender.

4) Gently rinse Poha in a colander to remove the starch. Water should eventually come out clear on the other side. Do not compress with your hands. Set aside and allow to air dry for several minutes.

5) Once the potatoes have cooked, add poha and cook for a few minutes.

6) Add lemon juice and mix well.

7) Garnish with Cilantro and Batata Poha is now ready to serve.
