Butter Chicken (Chicken Makhani)

Ingredients

2 pounds chicken breast

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1 tbsp chili powder

½ tsp salt

3 tbsp oil

2 onions (sliced)

3 tbsp butter

3 tomatoes (sliced)

15-20 pcs cashews

1 cup water

1 tbsp garlic paste

1 tbsp salt (Optional)

½ tbsp vinegar

1 tbsp chili powder

½ garam masala

2 tbsp butter

3 tbsp cream

1 tsp kasoori methi

Cilantro for garnishing

Made with cashews, this creamy and delicious butter chicken recipe can be served with roti or rice perfect for any meal of the day.

Instructions

1) In a bowl, add chicken, ginger garlic paste, chili powder, salt and mix well.

2) Marinate the mixture for 20-30 minutes.

3) In a pan, add oil on medium flame.

4) Add the marinated chicken pieces in the pan one by one.

5) Flip it over and cook on each side.

6) Remove the chicken from the pan once it's properly fried and set it aside.

7) In the same pan, add onions and butter.

8) Stir it for a few minutes.

9) Add tomatoes and cashews in the pan.

10) Stir it for a few minutes.

11) Add water, garlic paste, salt, white vinegar, chili powder and garam masala.

12) Stir well.

13) Cover the lid and simmer for 20 minutes.

14) Remove the lid and stir well

15) In a blender, put all the contents of the pot and blend well.

16) Pour the mixture back into the pot.

17) Add butter, cream, fried chicken, kasoori methi and stir well.

18) Let it Simmer for 5 minutes.

19) Add the chicken into a bowl and add cream and garnish with cilantro.

20) Butter Chicken is now ready to serve.
