Mixed Daal

Ingredients
125g Masoor dal
125 g Moong dal
3 Tbsp Oil
1 ½ cup Onion (medium)
1 cup Tomato (medium)
1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
¼ cup Water
2 tsp Ginger & Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
1 tbsp Garam Masala
1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
2 tbsp Salt
1 cup Onion (medium)
1 ½ tsp Garlic
1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
3 pcs Green Chilli (sliced)
In a pan, add oil, onion and stir on medium flame until the onion turns golden brown. Add tomato, cumin seeds, water, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder and mix well. Add the dals, water, salt and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and cook until tender.
Instructions
1) In a bowl, soak masoor and moong dal together. Drain water and put the bowl aside.
2) In a pan, add oil, onion and stir on medium flame until the onion turns golden brown.
3) Add tomato, cumin seeds, water, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, garam masala, red chili powder and mix well.
4) Add the dals, water, salt and mix well. Cover the pan with a lid and cook until tender.
5) In another pan, heat oil on medium flame.
6) For the tadka, add onion, garlic, cumin seeds, green chilies and stir for a few minutes.
7) Add the tadka over the dal.
8) Cover it over with a lid.
9) Mixed Dal is now ready to serve.
