Turkey Meatball Biryani

Ingredients

Ingredients for the Turkey Meatball:

½ White Onion (large, chopped)

3 tsp Vegetable Oil

2 tsp Cumin Seeds

1 tsp Caraway Seeds

½ tsp Coriander Powder

1 tsp Cumin Powder

1 tsp Turmeric Powder

½ tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste

Water as needed

½ pound Ground Turkey

Salt & Pepper per taste

Ingredients for rice:

1 tbsp Oil

Pinch of Cumin Seeds

Pinch of Fennel Seeds

1 pcs Cinnamon Stick

3 pcs Cloves

2 pcs Cardamom Pods

2 pcs Bay Leaves

4 cups of Water

1 cup Basmati Rice (rinsed)

Try this turkey meatball biryani recipe. A perfect Thanksgiving surprise for your family!

Instructions

1) Finely chop a large white onion.

2) In a large skillet, add vegetable oil.

3) Add cumin seeds and caraway seeds

4) Heat it for 30 seconds.

5) Add chopped onion.

6) Saute for 2 minutes.

7) Add coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste.

8) Mix well.

9) Add a little bit of water.

10) Remove from heat.

11) Let it cool for 20 minutes.

12) Add ground turkey.

13) Add salt and pepper to taste.

14) Mix it well.

15) Make meatballs.

16) In a pan, heat oil and cook meatballs in it.

17) In a pot, heat oil on medium.

18) Add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom pods, bay leaves.

19) Lightly saute.

20) Add water and bring to boil.

21) Add basmati rice and cook it partially.

22) Drain the water from the rice.

23) Layer rice with cashew nuts and meatballs.

24) Cover the pot’s lid with a damp towel.

25) Place the lid over its pot.

26) Cook on low heat for 20 minutes or until fully cooked.

27) Enjoy.
